Miss Maltese’s first fashion week came to an end yesterday. It is incredible how much we have achieved on such short notice!
We started with the @Bogliogi FW22/23 exhibition. the presentation showcased traditional suits with a modern twist. The pieces were presented in an amazing location that elevated the garments and made them stand out. @Bogliogi is a brand that likes to play it safe but always delivers a suit with a raw edge. We saw this in several suits at the presentation that were styled with these ribbon ties and belts with an American western buckle; a slight reference to the cowboy world of Texas. During the exhibition, our team with our photographer (@willshootpeopleforfood) met many fashion lovers that brought the fashion week experience to a new level.
Our next event was the @Marni X @Carharrttwip. And what can we say? FLOWERS FLOWERS FLOWERS. These two powerhouses collaborated for the first time and showed their results in the @marni flagship store in Montenapoleone. Their collaboration was characterized by flowers, fluffy and furry shoes – which is very @marni – and wool-like tops with horizontal stripes that brought the @Carharrttwip element to the collection. All in all; a successful event that was showcased uniquely and beautifully!
What is fashion week without any parties? Our team closed their day at the Philipp Plein official after-party. The location showcased the new collection with typical Philipp Plein elements and many influencers and celebrities that were dressed to impress. We got surprised by a live performance by the one and only @jasonderulo that was performing on crutches but gave it his all. He performed all of his hit song while walking on crutches the whole time. I mean, what can we say other than a true professional! Throughout the evening, we met amazing people that came to us and showed their interest in the blog, It made us believe we do belong in the industry which is, of course, true for any individual that wants to work in fashion. Even though it seems hard sometimes to realize this, especially if you are just starting. Many thanks to the Plein team for letting us attend the amazing event.
Our next adventure continued at @tods. A classical brand that produces sophisticated pieces with a minimal aesthetic. The tod’s collection gave old money with a young twist and a hint of elegance. The collection was beautifully done. It did not scream in your face and was very sophisticated. Chiapponi (the designer), offered a collection of cropped blousons with a ‘40s aesthetic, fine leather, classical trousers, and soft cashmere. The location was beautifully decorated with models sitting around the location bringing the outfits to life. An amazing event with the best people!
We ended our first fashion week at the @lardiniofficial after-party. The location of the party was just next level! The party was celebrated in Palazzo Mezzanotte, a huge location with a typical Italian exterior. The dress code of the party was all black with hints of silver and/or gold which gave this sexy element to the event. The music, deep house with a hint of techno resulted in this dark twisted party. The mood of the party was very open, drinks were getting served, the most beautiful people dancing their night away dressed in all black chic, photographers running around to catch the most amazing moments, and celebrities were everywhere. Again, words can't describe how amazing it was for Miss Maltese to experience its first fashion week. A big thank you to everyone who was involved and the brands that opened their doors for us. Of course, this won't be our last fashion week though: stay tuned because we are heading to the city of love, sex, and cigarettes: PARIS BABY!
