Miss Maltese's goal is to give a platform for up-and-coming designers who speak up and improve their individuality through their brand.

Every fashion week, we select a young talent to promote to the world through the feature Keeping up with Trends.

In honor of London Fashion Week FW 23, we got started there.

A young fashion prodigy from the London College of Fashion, Harriet Books-Francis launched her brand, HAZZ LDN, in 2022.

The Feeling Freedom Fall Winter collection was developed in partnership with the LOOK UK organization to offer clothing that makes getting dressed easier for people with vision impairments.

Throughout collaborative workshops, I learned about how those living without sight get dressed and what they needed from their garments in that process that the fashion industry didn’t currently give them. Using QR coding technology, I created a print that audio describes the garment type, color, and orientation (front/back) to the wearer. I also created ‘internal guides’ throughout the whole collection, which consisted of two different textures, one velvet on the right and one satin on the left. These textures were found consistently throughout each garment and acted as the first point of contact for the wearers, allowing them to recognize the texture and orientate themselves within each garment.
I hope this collection inspires others to design consciously and consider the needs of those currently being excluded, who make up a huge proportion of our fashion community.
— Harriet Books-Francis

The whole collection made little internal modifications to every piece of clothing, and the impact it made on the wearer's life and daily usefulness was enormous.

You can find a QR Print Jersey Top,  boxer cargo pants, cloud vests, and QR print shirts  and a must-have for 2023 in your wardrobe is the denim puffer jackets given that we must keep up with trends!
